Communicare Healthcare has extensive experience in caring for children with a wide range of physical and mental attributes. We have a multidisciplinary team with nurses highly experienced in working within acute and specialised settings in the community and a number of our carers have undergone specific training courses to facilitate them caring for particular client needs.

Our nurses are experienced in managing complex medical care for mum on return to home, providing night nursing, feeding support, and care for babies and children with special needs.

Through a managed service, we have helped a number of families and children with life limiting conditions.

One of our clients, Anita Kelly, who prematurely gave birth to four boys, Tom, James, Charlie and Luke, has been using our services since May 2015. Bringing home four babies at one time can be a difficult and daunting task for anyone, but with the aid of Communicare, Anita has comfortably been able to manage.

Our client care managers, Sinead and Niamh put together a personalised care plan and hand picked the right care assistant’s to work with the Kelly quads. This was of great relief to Anita, knowing that there was qualified and caring healthcare professionals there to help with feeding, putting the baby’s to bed and to offer much needed respite to Anita herself.

Our Specialised Childcare staff assist with activities of daily living, hygiene, feeding, and meal preparation, light house-keeping duties, transport to and from healthcare facilities, companionship and prompting medication administration. Progress and any extra requirements are recorded to optimise quality of life. Any other requirements can be discussed with us and we will endeavour to do our very best to meet your needs.
