Paediatric Care: Care In The Community

Communicare Healthcare has extensive experience in caring for young children living with life limiting conditions. We tailor all of our care plans to suit your needs and the needs of your children. Our nurses and care staff are highly trained to make sure we can deliver the highest quality of care, in a place that you are most comfortable, your own home.

All of our nurses are registered with An Bord Altranais and are fully compliant in Patient Manual Handling, CPR, Fire Safety and Infection Control. We have an excellent reputation in providing short notice and emergency solutions and in our ability to recruit and retain the very best of care professionals.

Our Specialised Paediatric staff assist with activities of daily living, hygiene, feeding, and meal preparation, light house-keeping duties, transport to and from healthcare facilities, companionship and prompting medication administration.

Crumlins Children’s Hospital has become the ‘’hub’’ for the centre of children’s nurse education in partnership with the satellite centres located at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital  and The National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght. With a new hospital set to be built on a campus shared with St. James’s Hospital. The hospital, which will open in 2020, will merge the three existing hospitals in Crumlin, Temple St and Tallaght. This shows Irelands commitment to improve on the paediatric care already provided and will hopefully be a leap forward in the quality of care delivered.

Communicare are always recruiting for the best and most highly trained staff possible and we love for our carers and nurses to want to up-skill in their abilities and qualifications.

The CCNE facilitate and deliver continuing education, training and professional development programmes for Registered Nurses and appropriate support staff within the three Children’s Hospitals and for services nationally which provide healthcare for children, within available resources.

Upcoming training programmes for Registered Nurses and relevant care staff can be viewed HERE.
